What materials can it repair?

It repairs most common thermoplastics including ABS, PP (polypropylene), PE, PU, PA (nylon), TPO, TPE, polycarbonate and similar materials found in car bumpers, dashboards, motorcycle parts, plastic tanks, buckets, helmets, toys and recycling bins. It works by melting the base plastic and fusing it with staples or rods for a strong bond. It is not suitable for thermoset plastics (e.g., Bakelite, some fiberglass), metals, glass, or very thin/soft films that melt too easily. Always test on a small hidden area first to confirm material compatibility and avoid damage.

How strong is the repair after welding?

Repairs are very strong and durable when done correctly—metal staples embedded in the plastic create a reinforced, high-tensile bond that resists vibration, flexing and moderate impact far better than glue or simple plastic welding. Properly welded bumpers and panels often hold as well as (or close to) original strength for everyday use. Strength depends on technique: clean surfaces, correct temperature, full staple embedding and overlapping passes. Not structural for load-bearing parts or high-stress areas (e.g., chassis mounts)—for those, professional replacement is recommended.

Can it repair car bumpers?
